Bricklayers
(Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Lake, Kane, Kendall, McHenry & Will)
The first negotiation meeting was held on May 8. The parties will resume negotiations on May 15.


Cement Masons Locals 11 and 502
(Cook, DuPage, Lake, DeKalb, Kane, McHenry, Will & Grundy)
There is a four-year agreement with economics of $2.13, $2.20, $2.27, and $2.34 respectively. Language
was included regarding pension allocation.


Ironworkers Local 1
(Cook, DuPage & Lake)
The next negotiation meeting was scheduled for May 7. This was the third meeting of the parties.


Laborers – Environmental Contractors
The first negotiation session between the parties was April 30.


Laborers – MARBA
(Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, Grundy, Kendall, Kane, McHenry & Boone)
MARBA and the Laborers District Council entered into a four-year extension agreement. There will be
an economic package increase of 3.25% for each of the four years and language was included in the
agreement to insure the pension fund remains in green status. The parties also agreed to the establishment
of a Work Rules Committee.


Operating Engineers, Local 150 –MARBA/Excavators
(Cook, DuPage, Will, Kendall, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Lake and McHenry)
MARBA, Excavators and the Operating Engineers Local 150 entered into a four-year extension
agreement. There will be an economic package increase of 3.25% for each of the four years and specific
pension allocation criteria were included in the agreement. The parties also agreed to the establishment of
a Work Rules Committee.


Plumbers Local 130
(Cook & Will)
The Plumbing Contractors Association of Chicago & Cook County met for a third bargaining session
with Plumbers Local 130 UA on May 2, 2013 for the Master Agreement (which expires May 31). The
parties have four additional full day meetings scheduled in this month, and may set up additional
negotiation dates if necessary. The new 1-year “Schedule A” agreement (which will run parallel to the
Master Agreement and is aimed at recapturing and pursuing specific segments of the market through
moderately reduced wages, a new trainee classification, an alternate retirement plan, and other cost-saving
measures) covering Residential/Light Commercial for the Local 130 and the former Local 93 and former
Local 501 jurisdictions is now acquiring signatures from the settlers, and is expected to be released soon
to the contractors.

Teamsters Joint Council No. 25
(Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry & Will)
The parties are continuing negotiations for a successor agreement that expired on May 31, 2012. There
have been 15 negotiation sessions. The parties met on May 9 and a future meeting date will be scheduled.


CENTRAL ILLINOIS


Cement Masons Local 143
(Champaign)
The parties concluded a three-year agreement with economics of $1.25, $1.25 and $1.25 respectively.
The industry fund was increased from $0.14 to $0.15 in the first year. Foreman wage was also increased
from $1.50 to $1.75. The wage increase for the first year was 2.7%.
Tile Setters Local 8
(Champaign)
There was a three-year agreement reached by the parties. The wage package increase was $1.20, $1.20
and $1.25. The industry fund was increased from $0.14 to $0.15 in the first year. The wage increase for
the first year was 2.7%.


QUAD CITIES


Bricklayers Local 6
(Rock Island)
The parties ratified a three-year agreement with economics of $1.05, $1.25 and $1.25 respectively.


Carpenters, Local 4 and Local 166
Carpenters Local 4 (Davenport) and Local 166 (Milan) went on strike throughout the Quad Cities as of
May 1.


Cement Masons Local 18, Area 544
(Rock Island)
Contract was extended through May 7. The fifth negotiation meeting was scheduled for May 3.
Electricians Local 145
NECA and the IBEW Local 145 ratified the following agreements: Inside Electricians
agreement for three-years with increases of $1.05, $1.10 and $1.15. The Residential division
settled for a two-year agreement with the following increases: $0.65 and $0.60. There were no
changes to the language on either agreement.


Laborers Local 309
(Rock Island)
The contract is extended through May 6 with a vote schedule for that date. Economics are $1.05,
$1.15 and $1.20.


MINNESOTA


Bricklayers (Building)
(Metro)
The parties settled a three-year agreement. Economics are $0.85, $1.15, and $1.30.


Bricklayers (Building)
(Southern Minnesota)
The parties settled a three-year agreement. Economics are $0.90, $1.00, and $1.10.


Carpenters (Building)
(Metro)
A three-year contract was concluded with increases of $0.85, $1.40 and $1.45.


Cement Masons (Building)
(Southern Minnesota)
The parties settled a three-year agreement. Economics are $0.90, $1.00, and $1.10.


Cement Masons (Highway-Heavy)
(Duluth)
There is a five-year agreement which has been ratified by the parties. The economic package is $0.50
each year.


Cement Masons (Building)
(Metro)
The parties settled a three-year agreement. Economics are $0.85, $1.15, and $1.30.


Ironworkers (Building)
(Metro)
The parties ratified a three-year agreement. Economics are as follows:
Region A: $0.90, $1.35, $1.50
Region B: $1.00, $1.55, $1.65
Region C: $1.35, $2.00, $2.00


Laborers (Building)
(Metro)
A three-year contract was concluded with increases of $0.86, $1.40 and $1.45.


Laborers (Building)
(Southern Minnesota)
The parties ratified a three-year agreement providing for increases of $0.85, $0.90, and $1.05.


Operating Engineers (Building)
(Metro)
After six meetings, the parties concluded a three-year agreement. Economics are $0.90, $1.35 and $1.50.
