Michael J. Hampson is Executive Director of the Fox Valley Associated General Contractors, a suburban Chicago regional chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, the nation's largest construction association.
Mike previously held the position of Director of Membership Services at Central Illinois Builders of AGC in Springfield, Illinois for seven years.
Mike comes from a family involved in the contracting business for over 40 years. During college, he was a member of the labor union in Springfield. Upon graduation, he worked for Miller/Burns as a marketing representative for the AGC of Illinois worker's compensation program. Hampson then continued his insurance marketing for Lee/O'Keefe Insurance in the commercial market. For 3 years, Hampson worked as a Corporate Risk Manager for CORE Construction in Morton, Illinois. Moving back to the Springfield area Hampson held the position of Estimator and Safety Director of Design Roofing Systems.
Hampson is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Springfield (formally Sangamon State University) with a Bachelors degree in Business Management.
BARBARA HEYBOER
Fox Valley AGC Office Manager/Financial Coordinator
Barbara Heyboer is Office Manager/Financial Coordinator for the Fox Valley Associated General Contractors and has held the position since June, 2004. She is responsible for the general administrative matters of the association and administers the organizations accounting and bookkeeping systems and reports.
She has 20 years experience in business financial management, with a diverse knowledge of finance systems and office computer programs. She has previously worked in bookkeeping and financial management for construction firms and general businesses.
Barbara attended Western Illinois University and Aurora University with studies in computer science.
